完美发音的10个诀窍

每个人都知道使用英语是真正改善发音的唯一办法。但是如果你每天不能和英语母语人士交谈的话，那该怎么办呢？别担心！还有很多提高口语能力的方法。

1.Listen to yourself.如果你听不到自己的发音问题，要纠正就很难了。试着把你将的话录下来并和英语为母语人士将的对比一下。
2. Slow down!很多英语学习者常说语速太快容易养成他们的坏习惯。每天操练一些基本语言。以单音节开始，然后单词，最后，把几个词连在一起。

3. Picture it...闭上你的眼睛并在说出口之前想一想如何发这个音。想象出口型和脸部动作。

4. Get physical!发音是个形体动作。你是在教你的嘴新的发声方法和移动肌肉的方式。每天集中训练几个音。你发‘th　’的音有困难吗？将你的舌头放在齿间（不要咬住）并从口中吐气。感受气流从你的舌间吹过。

5. Watch yourself.站在镜子前查看当你发某些固定音时的嘴型，唇型和舌头的位置。和你看到的Englishtown发音录像对比！

6.　Copy the experts.绝对没有取代从专家－英语母语人士处学习发音的方式。因此仔细听！听英语广播节目并看英语的电视节目和电影。（不要念字幕！）模仿你所听到的－就算你还不肯定他们说的话。

7. Practice alone.发音的问题迟迟不能解决就是因为我们害怕犯错。－第一次见面，在饭店点菜，询问方向－然后你自己表演出对话内容。别害羞！

8. Find a language buddy. 从其他人处获得反馈是非常重要的。找一个对提高英语水平同样感兴趣的朋友。试着更换录音资料这样你就可以互相听对方的发音。

9. Be poetic. 好的发音不仅是掌握单独的音节。还是对intonation （声音的升降调）和 stress （对单词中一些音节和句子中的一些单词更大声更清晰的发音）的理解。大声念一些诗歌，演讲，歌曲，集中练习单词的重音和音调。

10. Sing a song!学习一些英语流行歌曲的歌词并跟着唱。唱歌帮助你放松并能让这些词说出来，同时帮助改进你的语音和语调。

日线是东南亚地区Forwarders指定率（客户指定forwarder）最高之地区原因除上达外，另日本重视长期性合作，且forwarder替其提供进口报关、仓储（warehousing）、运输、物流（Logistics）、配送等额外SVC（service）,故许多进口客人长期指定。

易使我们误入陷阱的单词妙趣横生的大小写

有些单词的词首字母仅仅作一下大小写方面的改变，则差之毫厘，谬以千里。　　

大写China 指“中国”；小写china指“瓷器”。

大写Japan指“日本”；小写japan指“日本式漆器”。

大写Jordan指“约旦”；小写jordan指“尿壶”。

大写John指“约翰”；小写john指“厕所”。

大写Russia 指“俄罗斯”；小写russia指“俄罗斯皮革”。

大写Turkey 指“土耳其”；小写turkey指“火鸡”。

英语中“年份、日期、时间与数字”的读法

1．年份

关于四位数年份的读法有下列几种情形：

1）一般情况下，将表示年份的四个数字按前后分为两组，每一组的数字都按基数词来读。例如：

1865年读作 eighteen sixty-five

1998年读作 nineteen ninety-eight

2）如果前两个数字为非“零”数字，后两位数分别为“零”，则先读出前两位数，然后将后面的两个“零”读为 hundred。例如：

1900年读作 nineteen hundred

1800年读作 eighteen hundred

3）第三个数字为“零”（其他数字不是“零”）的年份的读法应当将该“零”读为O［u］。例如：

1809年读作 eighteen O nine

4）关于千年的一些读法。

2000年读作 two thousand

2008年读作 two thousand and eight（或twenty O eight，现在为方便起见，也读成two thousand eight）

1008年读作 one thousand and eight（或ten O eight）

另外，还有一些非四位数的年份，它们有两种读法：一种是按照基数词的方法来读，另一种是一个一个数字来读。例如：

531BC读作 five three one BC（或five hundred and thirty-one BC）

984年可读为nine eighty-four，757年读成seven fifty-seven。

2．日期

英语日期的读法、写法和汉语不同，要注意区别。英语中年、月、日的表达方法是“月份+序数词，年”。2001年4月2日应该写成：April 2nd, 2001，读成：April the second, two thousand and one。一般情况下，序数词是在基数词后加-th，但有几种特殊情况，可按下面规律来记：1、2、3单独记（即first, second, third），8后少t，9少e（即：eighth, ninth），5、12变ve为fth（即fifth, twelfth），整十位数变y为ie再加th（如twentieth），二位以上只将个数变序数词（如thirty-second）。例如：

October 31（October 31st）读作October（the）thirty-first

August 26（August 26th）读作August（the）twenty-sixth

也可用下面的读法：

23rd May = the twenty-third of May

1st July = the first of July

5th March= the fifth of March

PS: 年+日：January 12th, 1993读成January the twelfth, nineteen ninety-three

一、“简约”型： in before email attached ,including the xxx picture. （看，简约至此，称谓，落款全省了．高! 但若发至的不是个人邮箱，恐怕对方也就收不到了．于是不得不连名带姓的重发一次，看来这时间也不一定真能节省下来．）

二、“精确”型 Thanks for your mail. As for the copy of CE and SAA, I will fax them to you within these two days.（“within two days”? fax是及时性的动词，你是说你要花上两天的时间去传真？这样的话，我就不得不在传真机跟前不吃不喝地干等两天？拜托，如果不能确定具定传真时间，就请说 “I’ll advise you the exact fax time once confirmation”）

三、“大张旗鼓”型 Per your information, you would like us to quote you the prices as below. Pls kindly check. Thanks. XXX

第一，过分讲究方法和技巧，而不愿意下真功夫。语言的运用是一种技能，但这种技能不是专靠技巧能够获得的。太讲究方法和技巧会被其占用很多的时间和精力，而对学习的内容本身投入较少的时间和精力，因此反而会影响学习的效果。如有一个参加高等教育自学考试的青年，他订了10多种关于自学和考试的刊物，认真学习和研究，讲起方法来一套一套的，可他每次参考的科目却大多考不及格。这是因为他只顾钻研方法和技巧，在学习内容上花的时间和精力太少，而且养成了投机取巧、不肯下功夫的习惯。方法和技巧只能适当利用，并且要从自己的学习实践中摸索出适合自己的方法和技巧才会真正管用。

第二，过分讲究速度和效率，不愿花时间经常重复(复习)已学过的内容。语言运用是一种技能，技能则只有靠熟能生巧，要不断重复才会熟练，只有熟练了才会形成一种不假思索的技能。

第三，三天打鱼两天晒网，没有恒心，不能长期坚持学习。技能的熟练要有一个过程，在这个过程中会遇到各种困难，但不能向困难低头，要坚持不懈地反复学习，持之以恒。

第四，不重视听力训练。语言是有声的，我们对语言的感受首先是语言的声音作用于我们的大脑。如果不练习听力，只是默默地阅读和背单词，其结果不仅听不懂别人讲外语，而且阅读水平也难以提高。

I'd like to thank Fudan University's President Yang for his hospitality and his gracious welcome. I'd also like to thank our outstanding Ambassador, Jon Huntsman, who exemplifies the deep ties and respect between our nations. I don't know what he said, but I hope it was good. (Laughter.)

What I'd like to do is to make some opening comments, and then what I'm really looking forward to doing is taking questions, not only from students who are in the audience, but also we've received questions online, which will be asked by some of the students who are here in the audience, as well as by Ambassador Huntsman. And I am very sorry that my Chinese is not as good as your English, but I am looking forward to this chance to have a dialogue.

This is my first time traveling to China, and I'm excited to see this majestic country. Here, in Shanghai, we see the growth that has caught the attention of the world -- the soaring skyscrapers, the bustling streets and entrepreneurial activity. And just as I'm impressed by these signs of China's journey to the 21st century, I'm eager to see those ancient places that speak to us from China's distant past. Tomorrow and the next day I hope to have a chance when I'm in Beijing to see the majesty of the Forbidden City and the wonder of the Great Wall. Truly, this is a nation that encompasses both a rich history and a belief in the promise of the future.

The same can be said of the relationship between our two countries. Shanghai, of course, is a city that has great meaning in the history of the relationship between the United States and China. It was here, 37 years ago, that the Shanghai Communique opened the door to a new chapter of engagement between our governments and among our people.

However, America's ties to this city -- and to this country -- stretch back further, to the earliest days of America's independence. In 1784, our founding father, George Washington, commissioned the Empress of China, a ship that set sail for these shores so that it could pursue trade with the Qing Dynasty. Washington wanted to see the ship carry the flag around the globe, and to forge new ties with nations like China. This is a common American impulse -- the desire to reach for new horizons, and to forge new partnerships that are mutually beneficial.

Over the two centuries that have followed, the currents of history have steered the relationship between our countries in many directions. And even in the midst of tumultuous winds, our people had opportunities to forge deep and even dramatic ties. For instance, Americans will never forget the hospitality shown to our pilots who were shot down over your soil during World War II, and cared for by Chinese civilians who risked all that they had by doing so. And Chinese veterans of that war still warmly greet those American veterans who return to the sites where they fought to help liberate China from occupation.

A different kind of connection was made nearly 40 years ago when the frost between our countries began to thaw through the simple game of table tennis. The very unlikely nature of this engagement contributed to its success -- because for all our differences, both our common humanity and our shared curiosity were revealed. As one American player described his visit to China -- "[The]people are just like us…The country is very similar to America, but still very different." Of course this small opening was followed by the achievement of the Shanghai Communique, and the eventual establishment of formal relations between the United States and China in 1979. And in three decades, just look at how far we have come.

In 1979, trade between the United States and China stood at roughly $5 billion -- today it tops over $400 billion each year. The commerce affects our people's lives in so many ways. America imports from China many of the computer parts we use, the clothes we wear; and we export to China machinery that helps power your industry. This trade could create even more jobs on both sides of the Pacific, while allowing our people to enjoy a better quality of life. And as demand becomes more balanced, it can lead to even broader prosperity.

做外贸到底需要怎样的英语水平？

本人本科，英语六级，我知道我的英语水平绝对没有专业英语的牛！但是当时我们班过6级的也才不到10人，所以自我感觉英语还行吧！毕业做了一年的外贸业务员，过程中老板（英语盲）也经常发牢骚你的英语差啊！要是英语再好点你的业绩一定飙升。一年下来我给他赚了13万左右吧，客户都是我自己开发的，没有老客户资源给我。我自己觉得我的工作从来没有因为英语不好而吃力。也从来没有听到一个客户投诉说我英语不好而终止合作！相反还很多客户当面称赞我英语好！（当然，我知道不是非常好！只是沟通顺畅，我听的懂客户，客户明白我的意思）个人觉得语言只是一门工具，能用就OK。因为我们不是做学问，没有一定要达到学者的水平吧。（有不同意见的别骂我哟）

可最近到一家公司去面试，网上招聘信息说的要专八，我也大胆投了简历，得到了面试通知。去做了份回复询盘的笔试，等了20分钟来了个男的，问了些不沾边的问题（短短5分钟左右出去了3次！）接着来个女的，说是外贸部的经理，上来问了一下之前的工作情况，接下来英语对话：问了你的责任心，过去的工作内容，团队精神，优点，缺点，未来计划（大约8分钟后出去了10分钟）再进来扔一句话“你回去等我们的电话吧”。这就是我奔波了3个小时赶过去的面试？说实话“你的责任心，过去的工作内容，团队精神，优点，缺点，未来计划”这些问题完全是些不疼不痒的问题，我认为，没有切入正题啊！不过从英语对话中可以检测到我的英语水平，不好也不太坏吧。出来我跟自己说，这个公司多半不会有回复，即使有回复叫我去上班，我的回答也是“NO”。

所以我现在在问自己，是我英语不好？这个面试我觉得完全没有问出一个应聘者的能力和对他公司的兴趣与期待，完全没有互相了解。如果这家公司觉得英语说的啪啪啪流利才是是做业务的首要条件的话那不适合我！不看业务员的业务能力，吃苦耐劳和谈判能力，处理事情的应变能力。做学问的学者不一定会做业务啊！！！

所以，我想听听各位外贸业务员的意见，你们的英语都是什么水平啊？都是专业8级口语啪啪流利吗？老外说的英语你们都是100%每个单词都听的懂吗？不管别人的意见怎么样，我依然认为我是一位优秀的外贸业务员，我的客户也绝对不会说我的英语不好而拜拜！【转】

An inward remittance is where a foreign bank sends funds to a domestic bank with an instruction for the bank to pay the funds to the payee. 翻译中的“增词减词”

有人误以为，所谓合乎翻译标准，就是在把一种语言转换为另一种语言时，做到“不增不减”。翻译实践告诉我们，由于两种语言表达方式上存在差异，翻译时往往都是“既增又减”。这种根据各自语言特点，在具体上下文中适当地“增、减”，就是我们所要讨论的翻译技巧。

词量增减，是指根据原文上下文的意思、逻辑关系以及译文语言句法特点和表达习惯，在翻译时增加原文字面没有出现但实际内容已包含的词，或者减去原文虽有但译文语言表达用不着的词。必须指出的是，词量增减必须防止两个倾向：一是添枝加叶，任意发挥；二是避难就易，肆意裁割。

1、增词

增词，从理论上说可以增加任何词，但在什么时候增加什么样的词，才能恰到好处，而不超出一定界限，则需要悉心体会。下面试分析几个译例：

1）A book, tight shut, is but a block of paper.

译文一：一本书，紧紧合上，只是一叠纸。

译文二：一本书，如果紧紧合上不读，只是一叠纸。

译文三：一本书，如果紧紧合上不读，只是一叠废纸。

译文四：闲置之书只是一叠废纸。

上面同一个句子四个译文，可以体现翻译不同层次。译文一，与原文似乎丝丝入扣，但却显得支离破碎、关系不清、语意不足；译文二，增加了“如果……不读”，意思明白无误，只是觉得言犹未尽；译文三，又增加了一个废字，这可是点睛之举。能否译出这个废字，是翻译这个句子的关键。一个废字，说话者语意才得以充分表达。译文三不足之处，就是行文拖沓累赘；而译文四则简明扼要，笔酣墨浓了。

2）Success is often just an idea away.

译文一：成功往往只是一个念头的距离。

译文二：成功往往只是一念之差。

译文三：成功与否往往只是一念之差。

译文一让人看后莫名其妙；译文二改变说法，但仍让人似懂非懂，而译文三只是简简单单增加了一个“与否”，但却使人豁然开朗！原句意思表达得淋漓尽致。

如同文学翻译一样，经贸文字翻译增词现象也是千变万化。下面实例可供学习者体会增词原理和技巧。

1）All cash bonus shall be subject to income tax.所有现金红利，均须缴纳所得税。（根据汉语行文习惯，增加动词。）

2）It's more expensive than it was last time but not as good.价钱比上次高，但质量却比上次差。（增补原文省略部分，原句后半句完整形式应该是：...but it's not as good as it was last time.）

3）The application of plastics in automobile industry has brought about great increase of the consumption.塑料在汽车工业上的使用大增加了塑料消费量。（增补原文省略部分，以使意思更加清楚。）

4）Commission depends on the quantity of goods ordered.佣金多少取决于订货量大小。（增词以使译文语意完整，更符合汉语表达习惯。）

2、减词

由于两种语言表达习惯不同，翻译时如果一字不漏地照搬，往往会显得累赘、拖沓、冗杂、或不合行文习惯，甚至产生歧义。采取减词译法可以使译文言简意赅。涉外文书翻译常有以下几种减词情况：　　

(1) 减去代词

这种情况尤见于外贸信件翻译，例如：

1）We assure you of our prompt attention to this matter.我们保证立即处理此事。

2）You are kindly requested to let us have your best quotation for the canned fish.请报鱼罐头最惠价。

(2) 减去陈腐或不必要套语

We take this opportunity to inform you that we are now in position to make prompt shipment of the merchandise.兹奉告，该商品可即期装运。（译文比原文大为简明，除减去了"take this opportunity"这一陈腐表达外，还省略了三个代词，并用一个“可”字代替了原文中"in a position"这样的繁复表达方式。）

(3) 减去不言而喻或冗杂词语

1）Any expenses accruing from this credit inquiry will be gladly paid on receipt of your bill.对此信用咨询所需任何费用，在接到账单后即付。

几乎所有的语言中都有许多的感叹词，而在这些感叹词中有很多大同小异的东西。不过，由于文化习俗语言的不同，感叹词又有很多不同的东西。今天，我想谈谈美语中常用的一些感叹词。

再说感叹词之前，我想先说说脏话。在日常生活中，美国人其实很少说脏话，尤其在不是很熟的人之间。因为美国人觉得说脏话很不礼貌，同时也是没有教养的表现。但这并不意味着美国人不说脏话，而只不过是没有像我们在电视电影里看到的那么多罢了。而很多脏话又都有委婉的代替形式，脏话也就没有那么“脏”了。如果你听到美国人说脏话，那么要么是在特别亲密的人之间，要么是桀骜不驯的年轻人，要么就是讲话的人气愤至极。很多人在讲完脏话后，还会不好意思地说声“对不起”。所以和老美交流的时候，最好不讲脏话，尤其是不要先讲脏话。脏话有很多微妙的用法，用不好，不仅会被人暗暗嘲笑，还会被人看不起，可一定要多注意。

　　转回正题，现在谈谈常用的感叹词，这些感叹词用在不同的地方，也表达不同的感情。

　　大家都比较熟悉的可能就是Oh my God!了。它的中文意思就是“我的老天！我的上帝！”一般用于表达惊奇，喜悦，或是愤怒。我们可以看看下面几个例句，体会一些它的用法：

　　Oh my God! I've never seen a spider like that!!

　　(老天爷！我从没有见过那样的蜘蛛！)

　　Oh my God! Oh my God! I was accepted by Yale University!

　　(噢，我的上帝！我被耶鲁大学录取了！)

　　Oh my God! How many times do I need to tell you not to eat with your mouth full?

　　上次讲了一些常用的感叹词，这次想再接着谈谈这个话题。在我们眼里，美国人可算是表情丰富至极，动不动就大呼小叫的，好像特别喜欢夸张。其实，这只不过是他们表达感情的方式罢了。因为大多数美国人都愿意把情绪表现在脸上，尤其是快乐的时候，总是想让全世界都知道。微笑对美国人来说，是非常重要的。在很多地方，就算陌生人打了照面，也会微笑着和对方打个招呼，既让对方有个好心情，也让自己快快乐乐的。他们不喜欢poker face （面无表情的脸)和stone face(表情僵硬的脸，总是在和谁生气的样子），觉得这两种人要不就是很不友好，要不就是心怀鬼胎）哈哈，当然还没那么严重）。所以，在面部表情如此重要的国家里，表达心情的感叹词也就大有用处了。不过，凡事都不能过头，感叹词也千万不要滥用，用的过多，会给人一种过分emotional和靠不大住的感觉。因此，除了了解这些感叹词的用法外，更重要的还是观察，看看老美是怎么用的，然后就会慢慢有感觉了。

有一个短语，大概是我们一学习英语就会接触到的，就是all right。它除了作感叹词外，还有其他的用法。让我们把这个短语梳理一下，看看你能不能汲取到新的东西。

　　All right的第一个用法和ok, yes一样，比如一位母亲在向孩子交待任务：

　　Walk the dog after finishing your homework, ok?

　　All right, I'll do it.

　　(你写完作业后去溜狗，行吗？

　　好吧，我会去的。)

　　在这个对话里，walk the dog的意思就是“溜狗”。

　　All right的另一个意思是“for sure”，“肯定”。比如在一次审讯中，一个疑犯对警察说，“He was the one who did it, all right.”他的意思就是，“是他干的，我肯定。”

　　All right还可以当“还行”，“不错”讲，当它修饰名词时，all right之间要用一个连线连接起来，变成all-right。我们可以看看下面两段对话：
